It's that simple

So during the wake of my aunt last night, bunch of us realized our time has not come yet, when our stomach growled.
Not wanting to leave too long, we take a short walk in a rainy pavement, to find nearest chinese food stall.

We just had simple meal, fried rice - nasi goreng - the red one, fried noodle- mie goreng on its right, and nasi mawut - fried rice mixed with noodle - the white one.


Then I noticed a "Mo Tan Hai " in the menu.
We are familiar with Fu Yung Hai ( the scrambled egg with crab meat in red sauce) here.
But what is this Mo Tan Hai? so I ordered it.
It is fried egg, telur goreng mata sapi, with topping containing vegetable,meat, crab meat, and crab egg.


After attacked, not bad...it tastes..different.

Japanese Food.

Last Sunday...lunch...

With tooth ache, not to be able to savour anything hard.

Ramen seems like a good choice..

thus I chosed a shoyu ramen..

they served it with chilli powder and see the photo...chilli sauce..

heh....is it really anybody put chilli sauce in ramen ?

hehe..must be..because later I heard from a customer at the next table asking for it..hahaha..

While my girl chose to have a Mixed tempura set

and my other girl ordered a beef yakiniku set

we also ordered a Butter fried Dori....hmm.. it had its first attack before the photo was taken..

The food is not bad, a little bit salty...but it's ok.

and cheap with the discount from HSBC credit card promo,

hehe can't get this price in Tokyo neh...

Got a tooth ache last week...

feel like better dying...

Strangely, it make me think

( this brain of mine has been rested peacefully in a dark corner for quite some time).

make me more realize that this body is not permanent.

nothing is.

everything keeps changing.
Once the pain killer works, I can smile, forget about the pain and suffering for a while, and be happy.

but then..the suffering comes again..

Fortunately I'm ok after some days of medication.
Is it just like resembling life ?

Anyway..

Last night after the rain finished pouring down.

with a stomach growling..feeling empty after burning some energy at the gym.

cruising the wet asphalt road with my yellow motor bike..

feeling the nice cool night air, makes me remember of my hometown, Malang.

hunting for a hot fried noodle...well very small of choice if you get hungry at night in this small town.

lucky me, I can placed my order before it was closed..

place: at the corner of Jl. Wilis.

price : 6 K. Rp.

One fried noodle, with eggs only, no meat, considering that if it was not finished,I can have it for breakfast today and today I plan to eat no meat.
but..with the help of my girls..it was demolished :)

hmm it's good to be able to eat...again..

but..of course it is temporary..

Rawon Buntut and Sup Buntut.

Rawon is a traditional East Java beef soup with black colour. 黑色 東爪哇 牛肉湯

The black colour comes from using Keluwek (Pangium edule) as seasoning.

Despite the color, the food tastes very good, consumed anytime as breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The restaurant is famous with its Oxtail soup, and oxtail rawon.

This time, instead of ordering a classic oxtail soup, which the oxtail is stewed in it, I ordered a fried oxtail soup and rawon.
They took out the oxtail and fried it, which gives crispy taste on the outside, while the inside is still so tender.

Rawon is served with short bean sprout, and of course...sambal...the mixed grounded chilli.

Location : Depot Anda, Mojokerto, East Java.
Price : 26.5 K.....hmm..who said there is no rich people in this village...

Oxtail soup, served with a slice of 'jeruk nipis' / lemon, and spicy sweet soy sauce..

I've been writing these series of hunting breakfast since some times ago, just have no time to load it up..

Pagi pagi dah antre...
di tengah kerumunan pembeli....demi sarapan...
di belakang sebuah mobil kecil di pinggir jalan di seberang mesjid di sebelah pasar Tanjung.

tapi hmm ...
porsi kecil...tapi harga murah... 2.5 K
jadi kalo ga cukup bisa beli dua..
good for diet..
no meat...vegetarian hehehe... just be careful that they have shrimp for the peyek,
tapi pagi aja, siang dikit abis dah...
anyway...worth to try....I think... bon apetite.

breakfast hunt series..

Didn’t feel like queueing this morning.
Although not as bad as China, queueing is also not a pleasant experience here.

Thus for this morning breakfast I headed up directly to get some food which only take seconds to get.

Yet it is not the freakin’ KFC, it is still nasi campur.

The location is right at the corner of Jl. Niaga and Jl. Karyawan.

It’s just a small stall which lots of people come and go.
The nasi campur are already packed.
Two alternatives available, with egg or with meat (beef).
So I just ask for what I want, they’ll wrap it up and off I go.
I saw some people have their breakfast there, but it is not a good idea, since they dun have any decent place to seat.
It’s called Nasi Campur Mbak Nik.
And here they are..seconds before devoured

Price is used to be 3 K, now is 3.5 K.
But hey, it still 25 cents USD …and eatable

kemelekatan akan makanan

Sedikit catatan ttg kemelekatan akan makanan...

As I chatted with a friend this morning in school after we sent our kids into class, he recommended another place for breakfast.
The previous places he introduced are ok, since he was born in this small town he should knows even all the dark corners of this place.

Thus, I went directly for the hunt.
The location is on Jl. KH Nawawi, just next to the notorious “ Sinar Galaxy” shop.

Here it is…

They said that there is some other dishes other than nasi campur, since I wanna take it home, still nasi campur is better choice..

The left one is nasi campur with peyek udang, I also try a pepes pindang, the right one is nasi campur originale which they put empal bumbu in it.

Not bad.
Actually the warung is cleaner than some previous places…
